“…As soon as one sees her works one realizes that this is a talented individual…The rhythm of the line, impeccably worked in charcoal, the multicoloured explosions in oil, which, however, she seems to know how to control, confirm that we have a special case of a talented individual.
In terms of technique we would classify Alice among the artists who chose to express themselves with the freedom and impulsiveness of expressionism. However, her expressionism is not dark and pessimistic. The aspects of interiors, with the absolute effusion of colours and design throughout the whole expanse of the painting are explosive and blinding…The female figures are erotic, overabundant, well shaped. At the same time, however, these elegantly disfigured forms, bearing elements from Amedeo Modigliani and Ludwig Kirchner, exude a feeling of melancholy and seem not to be satisfied by their beauty and to accept the vanity of human ambition.
It is a fact that the painter manages, with her instinct, he imagination, her enthusiasm, her freshness and an excellent sense of colour and the rhythm of lines as her guide, to portray exactly what she has inside her, the joy of life…Surely Alice’s world is a fairy tale one, but not a false one”.
